Band history: Formed in 1963 as the Ketas, Changed name to Nelson's Column around 1968
Various member changes over the years until they finally broke up around 1980.
Played support billing to the major stars of the day in venues throughout East Anglia as well as playing all the US and British RAF camps as well as the local village halls.
Their home base was Elmswell in Suffolk and were considered one of the leading and most popular semi-pro bands in the region during this time.
Julian Keeble still plays in a local band..the Travelling Rasberries, Cliff Barker writes scores profesionally and lives in Lincolnshire, John Snell is now retired but still writing songs from his Bury St. Edmunds home and Roger Lambourne remains a part time amateur musician in the Liverpool area.
